Katakana error in the Wikipedia logo

You surely must have seen the logo above lots of times, right? The characters in the puzzle pieces there represent scripts from different parts of the world. Each Script should show the letter that most closely resembles “wi”, the starting syllable of Wikipedia.
However, let us look at the katakana inside it:

See anything wrong?
The Japanese for “wi” is written as ウィ with the first character being “u” and the second one a small “i”. However, the Wikipedia logo uses ワ (wa) instead of ウ. Well, they do look similar.
It’s a known issue btw, and should be fixed in the future. And just for the information, there are also inaccuracies for some other scripts there which are also in fixing.
