Mouse hunting

(no, that’s not me, both the hand and the little thing. I’m the one taking the photo though)
In my house there are lots of mouse, rats, or whatever they actually are. They make noises from the ceiling at night, they poo anywhere they want, and worst of all… THEY EAT CABLES! When they succeed cutting the telephone line, there won’t be any internet for me, so they deserve to be exterminated.
The helper of the house, S, is in charge of this mission-critical… err… mission! For that purpose he lays traps in the form of paperboard covered in mouse glue. However when the need arises, he can react swiftly to handle them by hand!
Yesterday, on the first floor, he caught a glimpse of a small mouse toddling along the corridor. His hand quickly seized the dirty laundry in front of the toilet, rushed into the spot, and WHAM! SQUEAK! WHAM! SQUEAK!, he used the clothing as a weapon, and a fine one I say.
No, the mouse didn’t die. When the mouse was photographed (above), it could still occasionally wriggle and made noise.
The mouse was then glued into the trap, “to lure his friends that might want to save him”, said S. And true enough, that night another mouse was caught into the sticky cardboard.
No, the battle is not over yet, because there are dozens of mice in this house!
